It's Not About the Bike was Lance Armstrong?s first book and is the inspirational story of his diagnosis and battle against cancer. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer which had spread to his brain and lungs and he was told that he had around a 40% chance of survival. Not only did he survive the treatment, he came back to win probably the most gruelling sporting race (The Tour de France), not once but 6 times. Read it and prepare to be amazed by the determination of this guy!

His second book Every Second Counts is also a good read. It covers amongst other things his subsequent victories in the Tour, the life of a professional cyclist (not surprisingly a LOT of hard training is involved) and the traditions of the Tour.

Couldn't agree more.
Truly inspirational, especially when battling back from serious injury yourself.

Love the first book - have to check the 2nd one out.

Positivity and determination coupled with faith can take you far toward reaching your goals. Smile
