Hi Everyone,

Something snapped whilst I was running on the gym treadmill 2 days ago. I thought it was the treadmill!!! Laughing

So now I am in a temp cast with instructions to surf the net & make up my own mind about surgery or not. What a decision to have to make.

This forum has been really helpful and as a (sort of) fit, active 42 year old I think I have decided on the surgical route. But I may change mind by tomorrow.

It appears that the cast/airboot regimes vary wildly.

However , every cloud has a silver lining & I have been overwhelmed by the support of friends etc (once the laughing has subsided).

I'd really appreciate any advice from fellow sufferers. Is anyone at a similar stage to me?

I feel as if I am at the start of an adventure!

Hi

Welcome to the club. Things are a bit quiet on here now. It has been for a while. I hope that means that very few people are rupturing their achilles tendons.

I hope the forum helps.

Paul
