Red Kite, Green Red 47

I have been up to Loch Ken, Dumfries & Galloway, again and saw the female Red Kite identified as Green Red 47.

Green Red 47 is a female Red Kite that was tagged on a nest in Parton back in 2012. The date was a bit of a surprise to me given that I had read that the tags stay on for 3 to 5 years.

These are of untagged Red Kites in the area. Two of the photos show the bird carrying something, presumably food for a chick somewhere, but I can’t tell what it is.
