<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/a>I was looking for wildlife and saw some so it was a good outing. Little Grebe, Grey Wagtail, Dipper, all nice to see. Later, when I was looking through the photos on my computer I started looking at the birds’ surroundings – metal guttering, plastic waste pipes, webbing, straps, curtain track, metal tanks, cabling, plastic doors, electrical components, glass, copper pipes, sheeting, rubber tubes, rubber balloon, tyres and wheels. Can you spot the two Grey Wagtails in a couple of the photos?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Up river behind, Charlestown Cemetery, Barnsley Beck joins the river. At the grating I could see swirls of pollution, so I phoned the Environment Agency to report it at eating.focus.bags. Bradford Council have spent quite a bit of time trying to trace the path of Barnsley Beck. Back in 2017 the path on Briggate collapsed into it so its route is known there but behind the Primitive Methodist Chapel building on Briggate it is split into over ground and underground paths. This was done in 1973 and I don’t think the route of the underground culverts was recorded properly. The overground path goes behind the houses of Whitelands Road and then underground at Beckside Cottage on Station Road. It goes behind the houses on Netherhall Road and then under the road between 71 & 73 Netherhall Road where the driveway is wider than the other houses in the road. Its route from then on is where Bradford Council have been putting the effort in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After walking up river to behind Charlestown Cemetery I walked down river to the Buck Lane Footbridge and tried my new lens on the bridge dedication sign and a view along the bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As usual tap on an image to see it in its gallery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Getting out into the fresh air and nature is good for us, right?
