These sets of photos are to finish off December 2025. I still have lots of 2025 images that I would like to share but I realised that if I tried to keep posts in chronological order I would be still working on June. I have already posted several times with images from January and intend to keep up to date but also work back though 2025 to June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The header image is of a variety of Oysterling fungus, Crepidotus sp.<\/em>, taken on a walk through DMNR<\/a> on 12 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apologies: I originally put the wrong year in the title – it was called Finishing Dec 2026<\/a>. The first photo here is of a Roe Deer across the river from Denso Marston Nature Reserve. It’s the only one from 2 Dec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rest of the photos are of fungi in Denso Marston Nature Reserve, taken on 12 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Yet more fungi. This time from a walk in Buck Wood and then Denso Marston Nature Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Russet Toughshank OR Butter Cap OR\u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Oysterling fungus, Crepidotus sp.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Butter Cap, Rhodocollybia butyracea,<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Blushing Bracket, Daedaleopsis confragosa<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Hoof Fungus, Fomes fomentarius<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Blueing Bracket of some kind<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Crimped Gill. Plicaturopsis crispa<\/em>?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Hairy Curtain Crust, Stereum hirsutum<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Fluted bird’s nest, Cyathus striatus<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The benchmark is carved into a stone near the Baildon side of the footbridge over the river at the end of Buck Lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Though I wandered around DMNR I am only posting two photos of the visit. Both are of Fluted bird’s nest, Cyathus striatus<\/em>, a cute little fungus that does look like a fluted bird’s nest even down to the pale eggs in the cup, though they are less than 1 cm across the top..<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
