{"id":1641,"date":"2017-07-07T17:07:39","date_gmt":"2017-07-07T17:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marfell.me.uk\/wordpress\/?p=1641"},"modified":"2017-07-07T17:07:39","modified_gmt":"2017-07-07T17:07:39","slug":"thursday-on-baildon-moor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marfell.me.uk\/wordpress\/thursday-on-baildon-moor\/","title":{"rendered":"Thursday on Baildon Moor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday evening the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1643981955851953\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baildon Camera Club<\/a> meeting was a shooting session on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baildongolfclub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baildon Golf Course<\/a>. I have posted my photos to the camera club facebook page but not being mad keen on landscapes I am not posting any here.<\/p>\n<p>When we were up near the tee for the second hole I heard a few quiet noises so I decided to go back up there on Thursday afternoon. It was a hot sunny afternoon with a breeze blowing all the grass pollen straight into my eyes.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Reed Bunting\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/34968971673\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4036\/34968971673_03d7bc6e57_b.jpg\" alt=\"Reed Bunting\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But after perching myself on some rocks I waited. There were lots of Meadow Pipit and Skylark around, parachuting in. I heard a few quiet noises and then a Reed Bunting came reasonably close<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Reed Bunting\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/35647358351\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4118\/35647358351_1cc389f107_b.jpg\" alt=\"Reed Bunting\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had also seen a couple of male Reed Buntings further off \u00a0but this one is a juvenile &#8211; I say juvenile because of the paler beak and its yellow edges.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Stonechat\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/35647358451\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4290\/35647358451_b6e5f5f7ee_b.jpg\" alt=\"Stonechat\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But the ones I had been hoping to see were Stonechats. This one is a female.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Stonechat\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/35647357691\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4256\/35647357691_9fa9f655c4_b.jpg\" alt=\"Stonechat\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and this a male<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Stonechat\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/34968969823\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4065\/34968969823_3d6f3b2d1b_b.jpg\" alt=\"Stonechat\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and juvenile.
