I didn&#8217;t see this one reach through to get any peanuts&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ring-necked Parakeet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/40737789074\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/820\/40737789074_9e0d2b4e1d_b.jpg\" alt=\"Ring-necked Parakeet\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and the shape of their beaks meant that they really struggled to get anything through the holes in this feeder .<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ring-necked Parakeet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/40737785634\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/809\/40737785634_bb278ef483_b.jpg\" alt=\"Ring-necked Parakeet\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the RSPB the male should have a pink collar &#8211; hence the name, Ring-necked Parakeet, but I couldn&#8217;t see anything like that so perhaps they are not a breeding pair.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a knock on the door this afternoon from our neighbour to let us know that 2 parakeets were in their garden.
