When I got back I uploaded the photos to my computer. I store my image files in folders for each month and was a little surprised to see that I have no folder for November 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I went down to Denso Marston Nature Reserve. It was after 2 o&#8217;clock and the Sun was already lowish in the sky so I knew I wouldn&#8217;t have long to take photos with my long lens before it got too dark for hand held shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/46266085351\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1910\/46266085351_290c65cf76_c.jpg\" alt=\"Bluetit\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The river was quite high and fast and making a bit of noise but quite a few birds could be heard. Blackbird, Woodpigeon, Coal Tit, Great Tit, Greenfinch and Blue Tit like the one above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/44449028130\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1977\/44449028130_a1bcff440a_c.jpg\" alt=\"Chaffinch\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This female Chaffinch posed for a second showing that its legs have not been affected much by what is probably\u00a0<em>Fringilla papillomavirus.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/46266081911\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4847\/46266081911_f78fbe1d28_c.jpg\" alt=\"Common Dipper\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What I was very pleased to see though was a Common Dipper. This was a little further up river from Denso &#8211; near the back of Charlestown Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/46266078641\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4837\/46266078641_20f9138a03_c.jpg\" alt=\"Lost Canoe\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This canoe was trapped in the trees across the other side of the river. I did scan the area to see if there were any paddles or bodies around. I assume it had been washed down river. I later saw two men high up on the river bank. They were going to try to get to the canoe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/pmarfell\/31327234437\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4816\/31327234437_fa16d87052_c.jpg\" alt=\"River View\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A little further on I decided it was getting a bit too dark for long lens wildlife photography so I took this photo looking up-river towards Shipley and then headed home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I took my camera for a walk along the river yesterday.
