I have added some more photos to the article on the Baildon Village web site about what to see in Robert’s Park in October that you can read here<\/a>. I have copied the details into here so you can see the photos too. As usual you can click on the images to see them at flickr. The dueling swordsmen had looked about for a quiet part of the park sheltered by trees. They did see me taking photos though, and waved.<\/p>\n

Grey Heron. A frequent visitor to the weir. At this time of year you can sometimes see groups of them near the rowing club.<\/p>\n

\"Stalking<\/a><\/p>\n

Brown Trout. Trying to get past the heavy, turbulent flow of the weir.<\/p>\n

\"Trout<\/a><\/p>\n

Canada Geese. There are quite a few of these around this year, many more than in previous years.<\/p>\n

\"Canada<\/a><\/p>\n

Black Headed Gulls. There are often these gulls flying around near the canal bridge and near the mud bank of the river.<\/p>\n

\"Juvenile<\/a><\/p>\n

Song Thrush. Cracking a snail shell on a large stone.<\/p>\n

\"Song<\/a><\/p>\n

Nuthatch. Normally creeping up tree trunks. I have better photos of Nuthatches<\/a> but not from Robert’s Park.<\/p>\n

\"Nuthatch,<\/a><\/p>\n

Mistle Thrush. Probably a winter visitor.<\/p>\n

\"Mistle<\/a><\/p>\n

Grey Squirrel. Ther are many running about Robert’s Park.<\/p>\n

\"Grey<\/a><\/p>\n

Jay. These are more frequently heard than seen.<\/p>\n

\"Jay,<\/a><\/p>\n

Carrion Crows are often scavenging in the park.<\/p>\n

\"Carrion<\/a><\/p>\n

Hoodies vs The Great Coats. Light Sabres at the ready. Practising for the theatre perhaps?<\/p>\n
