Ben Rhydding 2 May 2025

Just a few from a wander around Ben Rhydding Gravel Pits. A Hare and my first Damselfly of the year.

As usual you can tap/touch/click on an image, not its caption, to see it in better quality in the gallery. And if you like what you see please click on one or more of the Share buttons at the bottom.

Plenty of Chiffchaff and Blackcap to be heard but seldom seen. The highlights were the Hare ( I did have to check – Hares run with tail down, Rabbits run with tails up) and the first Damselfly of the year for me.

It was good to watch a Treecreeper going up the trees and then down to the next one.

The Bee Fly is not very clear but they are at least interesting looking insects.

If you are using a phone the caption can take up most of the space of the thumbnail so you might find it easier to turn your phone to landscape to open the gallery. I am hoping to change that for the site.
