My ramblings, my photos, photography, image editing, etc.

When heading home after the walk along the river with Bradford Urban Wildlife Group I stopped off at Denso Marston Nature Reserve for a few minutes.

As usual you can tap/touch/click on an image, not its caption, to see it in better quality in the gallery. And if you like what you see please click on one or more of the Share buttons at the bottom.

Little Things

The leaf cover now means that birds are having no trouble in keeping themselves out of sight. The pond is still teeming with tadpoles.

I have put a caption of Small White on the butterfly but, for me, it could equally be a Green Veined White or a female Orange Tip. The more I learn the more I question myself.

A Heron managed to see me before I saw it so it was already flying away each time. There were a few ripples from Mallard but no ripples from Mink or Otter that I could see. One of these days I will see an Otter. No Roe Deer spotted either.

Across the other side of the river there was a mat of what looked like roots with a nicely shaped hole through them. Is this where a Mink had been going through? Or was it just where a Crow or similar had perched? I watched it for a short while but nothing showed it any interest, except me.

If you are using a phone the caption can take up most of the space of the thumbnail so you might find it easier to turn your phone to landscape to open the gallery. I am hoping to change that for the site.

And if I have got the ID of anything wrong please let me know, I don’t consider myself an expert but I have write something. It is often a best guess and it would take up too much room to say It could be this, or it could be… or perhaps.
