This weekend is a big event in the Robert’s Park calendar – Dragon Boat Racing. I am not a great one for crowds and only decided to see what it was like on my way home. I parked off Hird St near Jack Penningtons and walked along the river and then the canal towards Roberts Park.
And that was the sight to greet me across the other side of the river. One or three people.
I had a wander around and took a few photos of one of the races.
This team are certainly putting some effort in
They obviously want to win
But as they passed me this team were in the lead
They look co-ordinated and are not going to let anyone past if they can help it.
