Mid November last year, 2025, I went along to Ben Rhydding Gravel Pits Local Nature Reserve to look for fungi. The map below shows my route around the reserve but most of the fungi were found near the path next to the road, apart from a couple at the Eastern end in the wooded area.
The header image is a small bracket fungus – Crimped Gill. Plicaturopsis crispa?
I have reverted to an older layout for this post because I think it best to have captions on these images and to do most of the viewing in the carousel gallery. I am not going to add many words. As usual you can tap/touch/click on an image, not its caption, to see it in better quality in the gallery. Once in the gallery there should be an i info link that adds title and some photo settings to the display. If you are using a phone the caption can take up most of the space of the thumbnail, and the caption, unfortunately, is not a link to the gallery, the image is. So you might find it easier to turn your phone to landscape so you can tap on the image and miss tapping on the caption. This should make it easier to open the gallery.

The RYB sign is fastened to a power pole and it could be an indicator for the 3 phase electricity – Red, Yellow, Blue.

Hopefully the change in layout has allowed the image size to be relatively larger so that it is easier to click on the image instead of the caption..
