On Saturday 31 May 2025 I joined other members of the Bradford Urban Wildlife Group at Dalton Mill in Keighley to view the Peregrines nesting their. We gathered just inside the gate to the Keighley Bus Museum
The header image shows a wide view of the Peregrine’s nest site. An adult is perched above the opening and one of the youngsters can be seen.
As usual you can tap/touch/click on an image, not its caption, to see it in better quality in the gallery. And if you like what you see please click on one or more of the Share buttons at the bottom.
Peregrines
During most of the visit one of the adults was perched just above the nest. Four chicks were in the nest and every few minutes one of them would open its wings. It looked as though it was mainly to stretch them but a few times they flapped them quite hard, stirring up downy feathers.

One of the chicks was noticeably more covered in down than the others. Presumably that one was the last to hatch and has a bit of growing to do to catch up.
While we were watching the Peregrines we were being watched by House Sparrows.
