Chiffchaff on Thompson Lane

I have not been carrying my camera around with me much over the last year. Today I took it to work with me.

When walking back to my car in the evening I spotted a few Sparrows flitting about and unpacked my camera. I didn’t get close to any Sparrows but I did stop, listen and watch a Chiffchaff for a few minutes. There were 2 of them that looked like they might be a pair.

One of them, as usual, spent most of its time on the telephone wires or near the top of trees calling out its Chiff Chaff. I dialled in some over exposure and took some shots but then they flitted about the Hawthorn and dropped into the grass letting me get a decent view, and photo, of it. I know I watched the bird from tree down to the grass but the ID is confirmed by the dark legs.
