Frog on a skateboard and other steely features

I have now found out what the Octopus and the Dog in a Dinghy are doing there. It is the Aire Sculpture Trail. Wycliffe School and Mick Kirkby-Geddes have created a set of 15 sculptures (+ 1 other little one?) that are to form the trail that will be officially unveiled at the end of Victoria Road at 1pm Saturday 25 May 2013.

To find out I went to the Information centre in Salt’s Mill. At first they thought I was crazy – asking if they knew what the Green Octopus was all about. Is the Dog in the Dinghy part of the same thing? After I pointed them to my website they went off to make a phone call and came back with a leaflet about the trail.

I don’t think I am spoiling things by posting photos here. Hopefully it might even get people more interested. There are still a couple to be installed and several still need painting but it looks great.
