Photos from an RSPB Airedale and Bradford Local Group walk in conjunction with Denso Marston Nature Reserve along the Leeds Liverpool Canal from Saltaire Brewery to Buck Lane and then along the river to the footbridge opposite Midland Road.
As usual you can tap/touch/click on an image, not its caption, to see it in better quality in the gallery.
Canal
These are from the walk along the Canal, in the sequence in which they were taken.

Steve had already let us know that he had been concerned about a fire. He wasn’t sure where it was. On the walk we found out. A lot of Gorse had been burnt on the slopes down to the river. One patch near the canal had been burnt and the fire brigade were pumping water from the canal to those that were making sure the fire was dead.
River Aire
These were taken as we walked along the river.

The bricks are:-
- Bradford Brick & Tile Co.
- Cinderhills Fireclay Works, Siddal, near Halifax.
- George Armitage & Sons Ltd., Robin Hood, Lofthouse, Wakefield.
- ?????HOUSE
After crossing the footbridge, heading towards Dockfield Road, we past a pile of rubbish, doors and a mattress. It’s a shame that the doors are not identifiable?

If you are using a phone the caption can take up most of the space of the thumbnail so you might find it easier to turn your phone to landscape to open the gallery. I am hoping to change that for the site.
