My ramblings, my photos, photography, image editing, etc.

8 July 2024 a few minutes at Denso Marston Nature Reserve

The river Aire going through Baildon is very low at the moment and quite a few rocks across from the entrance are exposed.

Just a few photos from a few minutes down by the river. Given the time of year don’t ask me what sex or age the Mardarin ducks are. If you can tell please let me know in a comment. The other photos are Red Soldier Beetle, Bee on Vetch and galls of the Sawfly on a Willow tree leaf.

The sun was very intermittent and even when it was out it didn’t seem very bright, it was well into the afternoon so, I guess, not surprising. There were quite a few Banded Demoiselles and Azure Blue Damselflies around the pond and one or more Kingfisher flying up and down the river.
