I have been out a few times over the last couple of months with my camera and have been lucky enough to see Hare at various locations.
The header image is of a couple of Hare and a Lapwing.

Hare

Usually the Hare are aware of me before I see them and all I see is their back-end as they run away, if I manage to see anything at all. I managed to get the back-end of a couple.
Hare run with their tail down so you don’t see much of the white; Rabbits run with their tail up so you see the white fur.
In some of the photos they appear to be looking at me, and in others one ear is directed towards me, but they don’t seem too concerned. In others they are treating me with ignore. I had my camera on silent, the lens makes a slight noise when focusing, the optical image stabilisation makes some noise as it moves some of the lens elements, the camera makes a quiet hum all the time and the diaphragm makes a quiet swish as it stops down. I can just about hear these noises when the camera is up to my eye but I don’t think the Hare could hear it. The breeze through the grass would mask it.
