I really enjoy seeing Herons on the river at lunch-time or on the way tp/from work.
With this one I so wanted to be able to say “He’s behind you” but perhaps it is not “The one that got away” but “The two that got away”. Neither the Heron nor the Trout is in the frame. Perhaps another day!
The Heron still went stalking but I didn’t see another fish or see the Heron catch one.
When you see how little the body is on a Heron you wonder why it doesn’t get either blown or swept away.
I would so like to get a crystal clear, bright shot of one of the many Black Headed Gulls that are on the river – but not today. My big lens isn’t always the ritght one to have on the camera.
