Storm Bert brought some early morning snow. It was a bit crunchy underfoot so would have been good for snow balls and snow sculptures.

Around 8:00am I went to have a look at what the view was like from Brook Hill. Yesterday the air was clear and you could see for miles, but today visibility was limited. Nothing could be seen of Idle or Thackley. If the air clears over the next day or so I will get some photos of what we normally see from Brook Hill.





Some people were taking it steady in their cars, trying to keep traction all the time. Others seemed to think that spinning their wheels would get them down to the tarmac, and of those, some seemed to be enjoying it and some seemed very worried.
A Morrisons van spent a few minutes trying to go up Plantation Way. It kept rolling back to the bottom and then trying again, wheels spinning like mad. Each time it would get that little bit further.
