This morning I went up to Snowden Road, Wrose to see what the sun looked like shining on Baildon. It also gave me a chance to use my new Sigma 18-50mm f:2.8 DC DN lens.

These are views of Salts Mill, Lister Mill and Baildon taken with the 18-50mm lens from near the Highcroft Youth Centre on Snowden Road.
These were also taken with the 18-50mm lens.
I walked along the edge of the Wrose Brow Plantation and noticed a Gall under an Oak leaf. With the slope you can get close to the tops of some of the Oak trees so I have now set myself a reminder to go back in Summer to look for Purple Hairstreak butterflies. Further in I was impressed with the size and shape of this tree.
I heard a honking and looking up saw a right-wing party of Canada Geese fly over soon to be followed by a left-wing party.
These photos were taken with my long 150-600mm lens. In the Ovenden Moor Wind Farm photo you can also see the domed structures of the Chellow Heights Water Treatment Works.
The Aireview Road photo shows the Shipley Islamic Education Centre in what was the Frizinghall United Reform Church building.
The Baildon Bank photo shows 18 Greencliffe Ave and 19 Salisbury Ave, and in the distance New House Farm on Otley Rd between Reva and Weecher Reservoirs.
Grossley’s scrapyard is now looking very tidy in the process of being re-purposed as a Network Rail’s Shipley Train Care Centre.
You can see a few people walking on Baildon Moor in the photo of the Trig Point.
